Romania and Denmark face off in the EHF Euro Cup Finals semifinal at 5:00 p.m. in Bucharest

Romania faces Denmark today at 17:00 in the semifinal of the EHF Euro Cup Finals Final Four tournament, held in Bucharest. The match at the Polyvalent Hall will be broadcast live on Digi Sport 1 and in liveTEXT format on GSP.ro. The winner will qualify for the final.

Both national teams are participating in this competition for the first time. Denmark won the group with the maximum number of points, 12, while Romania finished the group in second place, with four wins and two defeats. Head coach Ovidiu Mihăilă has almost the entire squad at his disposal, with the exception of Alisia Boiciuc and Andreea Popa, who are recovering from injuries. Crina Pintea has returned to the national team after a three-year absence.

The last direct encounter, played at the 2025 World Championship, was won by the Danes 39-31. Romania last prevailed in 2016, with a score of 32-26.

In the other semifinal, Norway and Hungary meet at 14:15. Norway are Olympic, world and European champions and have 21 consecutive victories.
