Following a betting scandal that affects football in Turkey, 17 players from the Agri Spor team, from the fourth league, have been suspended, leaving the team with only a few available players. The suspensions range from 45 days to 12 months. The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has extended the sanctions, suspending 637 players from the fourth division, as well as 25 from the first division and over 350 from the second and third divisions. The coach of the Agri Spor team announced that he will call on juniors to field a complete team for the next match. The TFF recently revoked 149 referees involved in illegal betting, and the investigation continues, with the promise of the Attorney General of Istanbul to investigate suspicions of match-fixing.
