Romanian football is at the center of a betting scandal, in which the newly promoted Metaloglobus is accused of having several players bet on the team's matches, including against it. An investigation conducted by ProSport revealed that five players opened accounts on betting sites through the team's staff, and a former masseur of the club admitted to having bet on the team's matches during his employment period.
Coach Mihai Teja was shocked by these accusations, stating that he trusts his players and that if it is proven that someone bet against the team, they must pay. Teja emphasized the importance of evidence and called for the investigation to continue until the end to clarify the situation.
