Antonio Conte has announced that he will not continue on the bench of the Napoli team after the end of the current season in Serie A. The Italian coach has already discussed with owner Aurelio De Laurentiis, informing him a month before his decision. The relationship between the two has been civil, without reproaches, and Conte has reached an agreement to terminate the contract unilaterally, without financial complications. In his first season, Conte managed to win the championship, but this season Napoli is in 2nd place and needs one point in the last round against Udinese. Additionally, Conte could take over the Italian national team, being on the Federation's list to replace Gennaro Gattuso, who resigned after the qualifying playoff for the World Cup.
