The project of the bridge over the Prut, which will connect the towns of Ungheni in Romania and the Republic of Moldova, is progressing well, with completion estimated for the end of next year. The state secretaries for transport from both countries have assessed the progress on site, where the works include the installation of piles and the pouring of foundations. The bridge is part of the Unification Highway A8 strategy, having a length of 261 meters and equipped with two lanes in each direction, sidewalks, and a common border crossing point. The total investment value exceeds 30 million euros, funded by European funds.
