The Bucharest Stock Exchange, MAIB, and Premier Energy have signed a partnership to establish the Stock Exchange of Moldova, with a scheduled launch in 2025.

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) is collaborating with MAIB and Premier Energy to create the Stock Exchange of Moldova, in the context of the expiration of the existing exchange's license. The project, which has been in the works for a year, will benefit from the technology and expertise of BVB, which holds 5% of the new structure. The shareholders include, alongside BVB, MAIB, Premier Energy, a telecommunications company, and the Government of Moldova, which will list state-owned companies. The official launch is scheduled for September 15, 2025, and the market opening for trading will take place in the summer of 2026.
