On Wednesday, August 13, the Athens Court of Appeal will examine the extradition request of Vladimir Plahotniuc, detained in Greece with forged documents. This hearing is not decisive; the Greek Ministry of Justice will make the final decision. Plahotniuc and Constantin Tutsu were arrested on July 22 trying to leave for Dubai. Although their remand in custody was lifted, they were detained pending extradition. Plahotniuc, under investigation in Moldova for several crimes, has recently criticized the country's pro-European leadership.
