The President of the European Integration Commission, Marcel Spatari, acknowledged that certain public institutions in the Republic of Moldova are facing difficulties in aligning with European standards. Spatari stated that Parliament will organize public hearings to understand the reasons for the stagnation, inviting institutions such as the Competition Council to explain the internal issues. He emphasized that European integration should not affect the current functioning of institutions, which have internal responsibilities. Former deputy Dumitru Diacov added that all institutions must be aware of their responsibility for the pace of reforms, not just Parliament. Although Moldova has been praised for its progress in justice, energy, and digitalization, the European Commission's report shows that reforms in agriculture, environment, and public administration are advancing more slowly, and institutions need to improve their efficiency.
