The former president of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Dodon, participated in the CPAC Hungary 2026 conference in Budapest, where he sent a message of support for Viktor Orban, the current Hungarian Prime Minister, in view of the parliamentary elections on April 12.

Igor Dodon, considered a puppet of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, was invited by the Hungarian side to this event. In the Republic of Moldova, Dodon was defeated in the elections by Maia Sandu, and now he is turning his attention to Hungary, where Orban is facing increasing opposition from Peter Magyar, the leader of the Tisza party.

Investigative press in Hungary has revealed that Orban is receiving support from political advisors and Russian spies, raising questions about external influence on the elections in the country.
