Firefighters rescued nearly 300 animals from a fire that broke out in a household in Sîngureni, with no casualties reported.

On the night of September 4, 2025, a fire broke out in a household in the village of Sîngureni, Rîșcani district, affecting an auxiliary building intended for sheltering animals. Firefighters quickly intervened with four crews, managing to save 300 goats and to remove a gas cylinder, preventing an explosion. The fire destroyed 90% of the shelter's roof, and the firefighters extinguished the flames after several hours of fighting. The causes of the fire are under investigation.
