Before the report from Rezina District, Moldovan authorities had intervened in several cases involving unmanned aerial vehicles: border police secured the area after fragments were discovered near Volintiri (Ștefan Vodă District), while explosions and drone debris were reported in other localities, with no casualties, including near Căușeni, Ștefan Vodă, Hîncești, and Anenii Noi.
At the same time, there were also alerts without ground confirmation of fragments: in the districts of Orhei and Călărași, police checked possible sightings of drones and a bright light followed by an explosion, but found no traces confirming that an object had fallen. In another incident, on Thursday morning, a flying object that had fallen near the Chișinău–Basarabeasca route was isolated for examination, and, for citizens’ safety, people were urged not to approach it and to call 112.
