A chief of the Moldovan Border Police has been detained for the abduction of two Ukrainians and their forced transportation back to Ukraine.

The Border Police has initiated an internal investigation following the detention of a sector chief accused of having kidnapped two Ukrainians who illegally entered R. Moldova and forcibly transported them to Ukraine, taking 100 euros from them. The prosecution conducted searches and confiscated goods from him, and the employee has been placed in preventive detention for 30 days. The investigation continues to establish all the circumstances of the case, respecting the presumption of innocence.
