Two men, aged 31 and 39, have been detained for 24 hours on charges of human trafficking, forced labor, and exploitation of begging. They are accused of having recruited two victims between 2021 and 2023 by misleading them regarding remuneration and working conditions.

The victims were housed in degrading conditions, in a decommissioned car and a summer kitchen, without access to electricity or running water. They were forced to work daily, without pay, taking care of animals and performing household activities, including the construction of a dwelling, without any days off. The two men exercised strict control over the victims, confiscating their identity documents and prohibiting them from leaving. Prosecutors have proposed their preventive arrest for 30 days.
