The leader of USR, Dominic Fritz, declared on Monday, after the formal consultations with President Nicușor Dan, that the party will not support a technocratic government and if PSD creates a majority, then USR will go into opposition. "I reiterated that after PSD formed a majority with AUR, there is no longer a basis of trust to enter into government with them," said Fritz, accusing the social democrats of sabotaging reforms for "more functional public services," and "to cut privileges." "We do not see how we can do this with PSD. If PSD finds a majority, we will go into opposition. The crisis is eminently political, and the response to the crisis must be political. That is why we will not support a technocratic government. We will not be able to support a government that will be a facade," emphasized the USR leader.

One of the technocratic prime minister options that Nicușor Dan would consider is Delia Velculescu, who has a career of over 20 years at the IMF.
