Dominic Fritz rejects a PSD minority government and proposes a cabinet with USR-PNL-UDMR

The president of USR, Dominic Fritz, announced on Tuesday, after consultations with Nicușor Dan, that his party will not support a government involving PSD, reiterating a consistent position of rejecting collaboration with this party. Fritz emphasized that USR is willing to participate in a minority government alongside PNL and UDMR, being ready to discuss the conditions under which such a government could also benefit from PSD's support.

“The country does not need just a government that passes with 233 votes. It needs a clear direction, to cut privileges, the deficit, to debureaucratize, to digitize public administration. We must remain on a pro-European path. These, at this moment, are not possible with PSD in power, which is why I told the president that USR will not be able to support a government that includes PSD,” said Dominic Fritz.

He mentioned that the current Parliament does not reflect the preferences of Romanians, expressing USR's openness to early elections, which could strengthen democracy in Romania. Fritz stated that USR takes responsibility for being part of a minority government, considering the performance of its ministers.
