Dominic Fritz supports Siegfried Mureșan and announces that USR is seeking a parliamentary majority: “We are prepared to find points of compromise, even with PSD”

USR President Dominic Fritz supports Siegfried Mureșan for the position of prime minister and announces that his party is prepared to contribute to forming a parliamentary majority for the future government. Mureșan was designated prime minister on Thursday by President Nicușor Dan.

Fritz stated that Romania needs a government capable of carrying out real reforms, reducing state spending, respecting work and the private sector, improving public services, and combating corruption. The USR leader believes that citizens are dissatisfied with the state's inability to offer them a better life.

Building a parliamentary majority will not be easy, Fritz warned.

„We are prepared to find points of compromise, even with the PSD, whose votes will determine whether this minority government will pass or not”, declared the USR president.

He specified that the party will not abandon its principles in the name of a stability it considers artificial.

If the proposed government does not receive Parliament's vote, Dominic Fritz supports holding snap elections and turning to the citizens to overcome the political crisis.
