The leader of the UDMR deputies, Csoma Botond, announced on Tuesday that they will not join the government after the party was invited by the designated prime minister, Adrian Veștea, to be part of his government.
"After all the arithmetic calculations we have seen in the press, we noticed that the votes of the independents, who come from SOS and POT, would also be needed. We have seen various attempts regarding AUR and we did not want to end up in the same boat with these independent deputies and senators coming from these parties," said Csoma Botond, who emphasized that the recommendation within the party is "not to vote for the Veștea government."
