Csoma Botond, the leader of the UDMR deputies, stated that it is essential for the current coalition to continue its activity, emphasizing that a minority government would not be a viable solution. In the context of the internal referendum within the PSD regarding remaining in power, he called for calm, warning that early elections would only benefit AUR.
Botond mentioned that a political crisis could worsen the country's budgetary situation and could provoke negative reactions in international markets. He also emphasized that UDMR is prepared for any scenario, but does not wish for the coalition to disband. The UDMR leader rejected the idea of a minority government, arguing that the necessary measures to reduce the budget deficit cannot be effectively implemented in such a configuration.
Botond called for more calm and compromise from all parties involved, warning that a collapse of the government would have serious consequences both politically and economically.
