Kelemen Hunor, the president of UDMR, stated that his party will not support a government that depends on the votes of AUR, after consultations with Nicușor Dan. Hunor emphasized the importance of a transparent and responsible parliamentary majority, considering the political challenges of this year. UDMR has not put forward a proposal for prime minister, but is open to supporting a fair governmental solution, without the involvement of AUR. He also discussed the possibility of early elections, considering that they are not a suitable solution at this moment, but cannot be completely ruled out.
Hunor highlighted the necessity of political responsibility between the government and parliament, emphasizing that a minority government cannot survive in the long term. He proposed that, in the case of a technocratic prime minister, political ministers should be included to ensure accountability.
