At the 17th Congress, UDMR emphasized the importance of the unity of the Hungarian community and appointed Antal Árpád, the mayor of Sfântu Gheorghe, as strategic director. The objectives include strengthening the capacity for action and responses to current challenges. UDMR also proposes a Romania in which the rights of minorities are respected, and supports the reform of the state to improve public services. Additionally, UDMR will organize public forums and will use technology to facilitate communication with citizens.
