UDMR is meeting today at 10:30 AM to discuss supporting a government led by the liberal Adrian Veștea, in the context where PNL has decided not to support this government and has given Veștea an ultimatum to resign by 10:00 AM.
The leader of the UDMR deputies, Csoma Botond, emphasized that the party's decision does not depend only on UDMR's participation in the government, but also on the proposed government program.
Political sources suggest that UDMR could vote in favor of the government without being part of it. Adrian Veștea, who needs 233 votes to pass the government, rejected PNL's ultimatum. Political scientist Cristian Pîrvulescu mentioned that UDMR's support could facilitate the formation of the government. UDMR had a meeting with Veștea, who proposed that they be part of the government, but discussions about portfolios were not concrete.
