Former president Traian Băsescu stated that a new party should emerge on the political scene and mentioned that, in the next presidential elections, Mirabela Grădinaru, the current life partner of President Nicuşor Dan, might be a candidate.
"There should be a new party. I see no reason to vote again, let’s say, for the PNL. Or to vote for the PSD again. I have no reason to vote for them. Or to vote for AUR, a party that, with two canned goods, Peiu and Dungaciu, presents itself as a new party. God forgive me! Well, Peiu was associated with Radu Vasile, he was associated with Adrian Năstase, a great patriot and director at SIDEX Galaţi, when SIDEX Galaţi was given away, so Peiu should leave us alone. Maybe he wants to take care of something else, but he should not present himself as an exponent of a new party. I’m not saying this out of malice, but we might have a female candidate, Mrs. Mirabela Grădinaru. Because I see that she is doing well; she has learned how to walk on carpets in all the capitals, he only travels accompanied, so a candidate might be being prepared in this way," Traian Băsescu said on Sunday evening, on Digi24.
