The Interior Ministry is proposing to transfer the Revolution Square to its administration, citing the need to secure the area. The project envisages restricting access for both cars and pedestrians, which contradicts recent recommendations suggesting that the square be transformed into a green and pedestrian space. The association Streets for People has proposed redeveloping the area, including limiting traffic and creating an open-air museum, pointing out that the current layout is not appreciated by Bucharest residents.
