The Minister of Internal Affairs, Cătălin Predoiu, stated that the structural and functional reconfiguration of the ministry will not lead to layoffs, ensuring that no employee will be left without a job. Following discussions with trade unions, Predoiu emphasized that any measures that could affect staff will be communicated publicly. The consultations addressed topics such as road safety, optimizing responses to 112 calls, and the situation at the border, in the context of joining the Schengen area.
