Florin Manole, the Minister of Labor, stated that he will not lay off employees from the ministry he leads, despite the Prime Minister's request to reduce expenses by 10%. He emphasized that the ministry is facing a staff shortage, especially in the Pension Houses, and that it is essential for public servants to remain in order to ensure necessary services. Manole mentioned that, although salary expenses have decreased by 6.7% compared to the beginning of 2025, savings will be made responsibly, without affecting the existing staff. Among the measures to reduce expenses are hiring beginners with lower salaries and reducing bonuses, but he acknowledged that this process cannot continue indefinitely.
