The interim Minister of Labor, Dragoș Pîslaru, stated that, following discussions with the education unions, there are no satisfactions on either side, highlighting the gaps in the salary law that he inherited. Pîslaru announced that on Friday he will discuss with representatives from defense and public order, as well as with self-financing institutions. He mentioned that education benefits from the largest budget allocation, of 1.750 billion out of a total of 8 billion.
The minister acknowledged that the law is not perfect and emphasized the importance of collaboration with the unions and the Ministry of Education to correct the gaps. Pîslaru explained that he is focused on finding a balance and improving the draft law, highlighting that he is in a position to address previous issues. He expressed hope that the constructive approach will continue and lead to a beneficial reform for the public sector, without affecting the rest of society.
