The Mayor of Suceava Municipality, Vasile Rîmbu, has been suspended from the PSD for a period of six months, according to the decision of the Permanent Bureau of the Suceava County Organization. The reasons cited include his closeness to other political parties, deviations from the promises made during the electoral campaign, and poor communication that affected the image of the PSD.

The President of PSD Suceava, Gheorghe Șoldan, mentioned that Rîmbu was perceived as independent and hired PNL members in key positions, which generated controversy. The suspension was proposed by Șoldan, who emphasized that only PNL members are appointed in the city hall, contrary to the expectations of the voters.
