The works on the Comarnic city bypass, a crucial route for alleviating traffic on DN1, have entered the final stage. The President of CJ Prahova, Virgiliu Nanu, announced that the major difficulties have been overcome, including the expropriation of the area and ensuring the continuity of the road, which had been blocked by a landslide. Recently, the two beams were installed at the viaduct that crosses the railway, which had delayed the works for more than a year. The Comarnic bypass is nearly 6 kilometers long and includes four bridges, being essential for the smooth flow of traffic in the Prahova Valley, where blockages frequently occur. The authorities also propose to complete the works on the Azuga-Bușteni bypass, in order to improve traffic in the area. It is estimated that drivers will be able to use the new road this summer.
