The National Company for Road Infrastructure Management (CNAIR) has signed the contract to strengthen a 200-meter section of DN 7CC, the Călimănești Bypass, between kilometers 2+950 and 3+150. The contract has a duration of 24 months, and the works are necessary to protect the road and limit the risk of material moving from the slope toward the area downstream, near the railway.
In the coming days, the notice to proceed will be issued for the preparation of the Technical Execution Design. The solution recommended following the assessment provides for the construction of a protective structure in the form of a rock-shed canopy, supported by drilled piles and reinforced concrete elements.
The piles will be at least 15 meters long and have a minimum diameter of 800 millimeters. The structure will include reinforced concrete beams, a concrete overlay slab, and a one-meter-thick layer of loose soil intended to absorb impacts. Nets and retention systems will also be installed to stabilize the slope.
Construction is estimated to take 21 months and will be carried out by the consortium of Maristar Com SRL, as leader, and 62D Engineering&Design Solution SRL. CNAIR warns that traffic on DN 7CC will be affected by restrictions, which will be announced according to the stages of the works and the organization of the construction site.
