The leader of S.O.S. Romania, Diana Iovanovici-Șoșoacă, sent a firm message in the context of the current political crisis, after PSD decided to break relations with the Government led by Ilie Bolojan.
In a public post, Șoșoacă accused the main parties – PNL, PSD, USR, and UDMR – of betraying national interests, stating that her party will not negotiate with "the traitors of Romania." She emphasized that the S.O.S. Romania parliamentarians will not participate in negotiations and will not support any parliamentary majority in the current context. Her message was radical, demanding that politicians no longer contact her.
The statements come at a time when PNL, USR, and UDMR do not have the necessary votes to form a government, and a potential PSD-AUR alliance would not ensure a stable majority. In this complicated political landscape, the votes of smaller parties become crucial, and Șoșoacă's position further complicates negotiations for forming a new majority.
The President of Romania will have an essential role in appointing a new prime minister or in maintaining the current Executive.
