Siegfried Mureșan announces the priorities of the future government: reforms, a reduced deficit and strengthened security

Designated Prime Minister Siegfried Mureșan announced the priorities that should be included in the future Government’s program, in a message posted on Facebook. He maintains that Romania needs competent governance focused on the interests of the people.

Among the directions presented is the continuation of reforms, which Mureșan says are necessary for modernizing the country and protecting the European funds available through the NRRP. The designated Prime Minister also indicated reducing the budget deficit and waste, so that the state has resources for investments and for sustainable increases in salaries and pensions.

Another priority is strengthening Romania’s security, in the context of the war launched by Russia against Ukraine. Mureșan emphasized the importance of fully using the 16.7 billion euros available through the SAFE instrument for security and defense.
