Victor Negrescu, PSD MEP, accused the PNL leader, Ilie Bolojan, of secret negotiations with AUR, suggesting that these discussions confirm a partnership between the two parties to maintain power.

Negrescu emphasized that such actions contradict PNL's statements of not collaborating with AUR, highlighting a lack of consistency in liberal politics. He called for Bolojan's dismissal, arguing that European partners and civil society cannot ignore these negotiations.

The statements come after Bolojan claimed on Wednesday evening that the meetings with George Simion were just general discussions, without political character, mentioning that he sought to maintain a "civilized" relationship with all citizens, including those who voted for Simion.

Additionally, Bolojan denied having discussions with AUR before the vote for the investiture of the Veștea Government. PSD leader, Sorin Grindeanu, reiterated the accusations that Bolojan is supported by AUR to remain in office.
