Sebastian Burduja, proposed for the position of Minister of Energy in the Government led by designated Prime Minister Siegfried Mureșan, will be the first candidate to be heard in Parliament. The hearing is scheduled for Monday at 2:00 p.m., as part of the procedure for appointing the new Executive.
In a message on Facebook, he presented the main directions he intends to pursue at the Ministry of Energy.
Priorities include increasing energy production from renewable, nuclear, and gas sources, developing storage capacity, and modernizing the grids. Burduja also mentioned harnessing Black Sea gas and expanding energy interconnections.
The candidate maintains that Romania can become a regional energy supplier and hub. At the same time, he says that managing public funds and reducing unjustified expenditures will be important objectives of his mandate.
Hearings for the ministers proposed for the Mureșan Government are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, before the investiture vote in Parliament.
