Oana Ţoiu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, participated in the Ministerial Meeting on Security and Connectivity in the Black Sea region, organized on the sidelines of the Foreign Affairs Council. During the meeting, Ţoiu emphasized the importance of the EU's Strategic Approach for the Black Sea and conveyed Romania's offer to host the EU Maritime Security Hub, an essential project for regional cooperation. The hub will contribute to improving awareness of the maritime situation and monitoring activities in the region, considering the current geopolitical context generated by Russian aggression. The Minister highlighted the need for close collaboration with Bulgaria and other coastal states for the rapid implementation of this hub, which will utilize advanced technologies such as underwater sensors and drones. Additionally, Ţoiu discussed the importance of connectivity between Europe and Asia, emphasizing the crucial role of the South Caucasus in this context.
