The Minister of Investments and European Projects, Dragoș Pîslaru, announced that Romania has managed to recover 350.7 million euros from payment request no. 3 from the PNRR, but has lost 458.7 million euros due to delayed and incomplete reforms. Pîslaru highlighted that the biggest victory was in the area of special pensions, where Romania recovered 166 million euros from the initially suspended 231 million euros. The European Commission's assessment showed that four important milestones were not met properly, which led to the partial suspension of funds. Pîslaru emphasized the efforts made by the ministry to recover the money, including technical discussions and negotiations with the European Commission. He also criticized politicians who delayed reforms and appointed unqualified individuals in the management of state companies, stressing that all Romanians will bear the consequences of these decisions.
