PNL MEP Rareș Bogdan drew a parallel between the leadership of PSD under Liviu Dragnea and the current leadership of PNL under Ilie Bolojan, in the context of internal conflicts within the party. Bogdan stated that PNL has become a party based on personal loyalty and centralization, where dissent leads to exclusion. Criticizing PNL's attitude towards justice, he questioned the decisions made by the party and emphasized that parliamentarians should vote according to their conscience, not under party pressure.

He also mentioned that the exclusion of members must respect the party's statute, and amendments made to it cannot be applied retroactively. In the recent context of the suspension of a PNL decision by the Bucharest Tribunal, Bogdan emphasized that justice is not a notary for the internal decisions of parties, but a guarantor of legality. His criticisms were amplified by the negative reactions of the judiciary towards PNL's attitude.
