Radu Burnete, presidential advisor, stated that the digitalization of ANAF has only been partially achieved, despite access to the necessary data from e-Factura, e-Transport, and the VAT system. He emphasized that, to improve efficiency, it is essential to unify the databases and use artificial intelligence algorithms to analyze the information and identify tax anomalies. Burnete also mentioned the recent changes in the leadership of ANAF, including at the second level of the institution, and expects results from these modifications. He stressed that, although immediate results cannot be expected, he hopes to see significant progress in the next six months.
