Cristian Pîrvulescu, a political scientist, believes that PSD was the main loser following the failure of the appointment of Prime Minister Veștea, emphasizing that the social democrats made a mistake by trying to build a non-existent majority. He proposes that President Nicușor Dan should resume consultations to make a new prime minister proposal, considering that PNL has already set its course of action.

Pîrvulescu identifies two viable options: a PSD government supported by PNL, UDMR, and USR or a minority government with PNL, UDMR, USR, supported by PSD. He also emphasizes that the parties do not have the capacity to mobilize majorities. In contrast, George Simion, the leader of AUR, is seen as the only winner, given that his refusal to support the government formula has brought him electoral capital.

Pîrvulescu believes that PSD has lost voters in favor of AUR, and the strategy of getting closer to this party was a mistake. He warns about the problems of the political system, mentioning that it is abnormal for a party with 20% to condition the formation of the government. In conclusion, Pîrvulescu suggests that future solutions will depend on negotiations between the major parties, and the dissenters from PNL will lose their chances following the recent vote.
