The interim president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, stated that the law regarding the pensions of magistrates has been declared unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court of Romania, emphasizing that the process was carried out "hastily." Grindeanu will propose in the Coalition meeting the formation of a working group to develop a new version of the law, which will be proposed to Parliament or reassumed by the Government. He mentioned that it is essential to have a dialogue with associations of magistrates and other relevant actors to find a viable solution.

Grindeanu stated that it is the first time he feels that an injustice in this area can be corrected and emphasized the importance of listening to opinions from the sector. Regarding Bolojan's resignation, Grindeanu stated that he does not consider his resignation necessary, maintaining his position. The CCR accepted the referral from the ICCJ, which means that the pension reform for magistrates proposed by the Government cannot be applied.
