The interim president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, stated that the party will propose a law aimed at reforming the special pension system for magistrates, with the goal of restoring normality in this area. Grindeanu emphasized that it is unacceptable for magistrates to retire at a young age with large sums, such as 7-10,000 euros. He criticized the lack of communication between the Government and the Ministry of Justice, which sent observations that were not taken into account. Additionally, Grindeanu mentioned that the PSD is the main party in the governing coalition and that its proposals must be respected. The Constitutional Court recently rejected the reform of magistrates' pensions due to the lack of approval from the CSM, and Grindeanu accused Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan of a fait accompli policy, demanding that he negotiate seriously with representatives of the justice system.
