PSD Deputy Bogdan Ivan, former Minister of Energy, announced that his party has submitted an amendment in Parliament to extend the reduction of the excise duty on standard diesel by 36 bani per liter for three months. Ivan explained that the removal of this reduction could lead to an increase in fuel prices for the population and companies, in the current context of the crisis in the Middle East.
He emphasized the importance of this project, calling for the support of all parties in Parliament to back it. The former minister mentioned that a stable government is essential to issue ordinances that limit the negative effects on the Romanian budget.
The proposed bill includes limiting exports, restricting the commercial markup for companies, taxing additional income, and reducing the excise duty on diesel. Ivan reaffirmed the PSD's commitment to addressing citizens' issues, regardless of the political situation.
