Senator Daniel Zamfir (PSD) announced that starting Monday, the social democrats will launch a legislative offensive in the Senate to protect the profitable state companies from what he calls the "Bolojan typhoon."
The proposed bill will prohibit the sale of state-owned shares in these companies until December 31, 2027. Zamfir criticized the accelerated sale of shares through the ABB method, without listing on the stock exchange, emphasizing that these companies represent not only economic assets but also jobs and financial stability. Senator Adrian Păduraru, co-initiator of the project, stressed the need for transparency in the sale process, stating that any discussion on this topic must be open and informed. He emphasized that reforms should focus on the efficient management of companies, not on their rapid sale, which could negatively affect the national economy.
