The PSD National Permanent Bureau is meeting to discuss collaboration in the governing coalition, following disputes over Ion Iliescu's funeral.

PSD is convening the National Permanent Bureau to assess the impact of the recent tensions on the governing coalition, generated by the different positions on the organization of ceremonies for former President Ion Iliescu. Acting President Sorin Grindeanu stressed the importance of respect for institutions and legal norms. Tensions rose after USR proposed not to declare a national day of mourning, prompting PSD to suspend its participation in coalition meetings until USR changed its attitude.
