Sorin Grindeanu announced that PSD will not vote for the state budget if the social package is not included.

The leader of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, stated that his party will not support the state budget if social proposals are not included and if local investments do not continue at the same level as last year. Grindeanu emphasized that the budget project can be negotiated based on clear priorities, indicating three main directions: the completion of the PNRR by mid-year, ensuring funding for local authorities, and including an essential social package in the budget construction.

He also called for the correction of certain provisions related to health contributions for specific vulnerable categories. If the proposals are not accepted, Grindeanu stated that the PSD will not vote for the budget. The Minister of Labor, Florin Manole, added that cuts to vulnerable categories must be explained by those who decided them.
