PSD leader Sorin Grindeanu assured on Monday that next year, taxes for Romanians and Romanian companies will not increase, emphasizing that “the economy needs predictability.” His statement comes after Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare said that he does not want new taxes and duties, but that sustainability is needed, pointing out that when discussing a new program, which is not budgeted and must be financed, we also need a source of funding.
“We do not accept the waste of public money. But neither do we accept the idea that every budget problem must be solved by imposing new taxes on Romanians and Romanian companies. Therefore, I want to state very clearly: next year, taxes for Romanians and Romanian companies will not increase. The economy needs predictability,” Grindeanu declared.
