PSD has made public the conditions for supporting the Veștea Government

The Social Democratic Party announced on Friday in a press release the measures requested by social democrats "for the parliamentary support of the future government", while the liberal Adrian Veștea announced this week that he will submit the program and the list of ministers on Monday in Parliament.

"Romania needs the swift installation of a government with full powers" to "stop austerity and the economic decline caused by the previous government," notes PSD in the statement.

PSD Deputy Mihai Fifor reiterated the statement and made it public on his Facebook page.

Fifor states that Romania urgently needs a functional executive to overcome the political deadlock and stabilize the economy. Among the measures requested by PSD are the abandonment of austerity, protection for low and middle-income individuals, an increase in the minimum wage, indexing pensions, and support for various social categories. Additionally, PSD proposes the expansion of the "Warm Table" program, administrative reforms, and the rapid payment of state debts to the private sector. The priority of the future Executive must be economic recovery and the protection of the population's standard of living.
