Liberal deputy Raluca Turcan stated on Facebook that the PNL will not support a PSD minority government if the social democrats are not willing to respect the commitments of a political agreement. Turcan emphasized that Romania's urgencies must be assumed by all parliamentary parties, not just by the PNL.
She mentioned that the PNL is ready to respect its commitments, but will not accept a situation in which the PSD only reserves political advantages for itself. The PNL, USR, and UDMR proposed Siegfried Mureșan as prime minister, considering him a good negotiator and competent.
The PSD criticized this decision, accusing the center-right parties of sabotage, but did not explicitly announce that it would not vote for a government led by Mureșan. Nicușor Dan invited several political leaders to Cotroceni for discussions.
