A PNL leader announced that the liberals are discussing the formation of an electoral alliance with USR

PNL Vice President, Alexandru Muraru, announced that informal discussions have begun for the formation of a right-wing political alliance, similar to the Justice and Truth Alliance from 2004, in view of the local and parliamentary elections in 2028. Muraru emphasized that this alliance could include PNL, USR, and other right-wing political formations. He mentioned that PSD is concerned about these discussions, fearing the proposed reforms and a possible coalescing of right-wing forces.

According to Muraru, the discussions are still informal, but they could become more concrete in the coming weeks. He also highlighted PSD's aversion towards Ilie Bolojan, a leader known for his proposals for state reform. On the same day, PSD was deciding the schedule for an internal referendum to assess the party's position regarding Prime Minister Bolojan and the relationship with USR.
