Before discussions about an electoral alliance, Ilie Bolojan reportedly told PNL lawmakers that the party must prepare to move into opposition, in the event that it will not be part of the new government formation. According to sources, the liberal leader also reportedly called for adjustments to the parliamentary strategy, through changes in the leadership of certain committees and consideration of a possible negotiation of a parliamentary agreement with USR, with coordination of votes on certain issues.
Separately, Bolojan stated that PNL would not sabotage the organization of snap elections if they became a constitutional solution for unblocking the political crisis, although he specified that he did not want such a scenario.
