Oana Ţoiu, the interim Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated on Digi24 that Romania has 30 days to correct a serious error related to the ANI law, which was promulgated by the president.

Ţoiu emphasized that this law, which affects the mandate of Mayor Dominic Fritz, is unconstitutional because it applies retroactively. She mentioned that the promulgation of the law has negative effects on the rule of law, discouraging individuals who wish to act correctly. Ţoiu proposed the adoption of a new law submitted by USR in Parliament, which could ensure respect for the rule of law and access to funds from the PNRR. She also stated that President Nicușor Dan could have been a better ally in this direction.
